Do we need a server to run the scripts?
Not always. Many scripts run on an ordinary Windows or Linux computer, triggered manually or by the built-in scheduler. For jobs that must run reliably around the clock or serve several users, a small cloud server or existing internal server is better.
What if the person who requested the script leaves?
That is why we document thoroughly. Each script comes with a README explaining purpose, setup, configuration and common errors, plus code stored in a repository you control. Any developer familiar with the language can pick it up.
