Progressive Web Applications (PWAs)
Progressive web applications that install from the browser, work offline and send push notifications, delivering an app-like experience without app store friction or separate native codebases.
Overview
Why it matters
for your business.
Asking users to download a large app from the store is a big hurdle, especially on budget phones with limited storage. Yet a regular website cannot work offline or re-engage users with notifications. A progressive web application bridges the gap: it loads in the browser, can be added to the home screen and behaves much like a native app.
We use service workers to cache key screens and data, so the PWA opens quickly and remains usable during patchy connectivity, syncing changes later. Web push notifications, a web app manifest and install prompts provide an app-like feel. Where store presence matters, the same PWA can be packaged for Google Play using Trusted Web Activity. We test carefully across Android and iOS, noting where platform support differs.
What's included

- Service worker with background sync
- Web push notification setup
- Optional Google Play packaging via Trusted Web Activity
- Cross-platform capability testing report
Outcomes
What changes
for your business.
Ideal for
- Businesses serving users on low-end devices
- Field teams working with patchy connectivity
- Startups validating an app idea quickly
Lower install friction
Users can start using the app straight from a link, without visiting an app store first.
Works on weak networks
Cached screens and background sync keep key tasks usable when connectivity drops.
One codebase
A single web application serves desktop and mobile users, simplifying updates and maintenance.

Do PWAs work on iPhones?
Yes, with some differences. iOS supports home-screen installation, offline caching and, on recent versions, web push notifications for installed PWAs. Certain device APIs and background features remain more limited than on Android. We review your required features against current platform support before recommending a PWA.
When should we choose a native app instead?
A native app is often better when you need deep hardware access, such as Bluetooth peripherals, heavy background processing, or advanced camera features, or when app store discovery is central to your strategy. For content, commerce, forms and dashboards, a PWA is usually sufficient and quicker to maintain.
