Website Migration & Maintenance

Safe website migrations between hosts, platforms or domains, followed by ongoing maintenance covering updates, backups, uptime monitoring and small content changes, so your site stays secure and available.

Overview

Why it matters
for your business.

Moving a website, whether to a new host, a different CMS or a new domain, can quietly break emails, forms, redirects and search rankings if done in a hurry. And once a site is live, it still needs regular care: software updates, security patches, backups and fixes. We handle both, planning migrations step by step and then keeping the site healthy afterwards.

Migrations start with a full inventory of files, databases, DNS records, email routing, integrations and URLs. We stage the site on the new environment, test it thoroughly, reduce DNS TTLs and cut over during a quiet window with a rollback option. Maintenance plans then cover core and plugin updates, offsite backups with restore tests, uptime and security monitoring, and an allowance for small content changes.

FAQ

Common
questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

Will our email stop working during a website migration?

It should not, if planned correctly. Website and email often share DNS but can be hosted separately. We document existing MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records and keep them intact during the move. If email hosting is also changing, we schedule and test that migration separately to avoid gaps.

What is included in a maintenance plan?

Typically, software and plugin updates tested on staging, regular offsite backups with periodic restore tests, uptime and security monitoring, SSL renewal checks and a monthly allowance of small content or layout changes. Larger enhancements are quoted separately. You receive a short report each month summarising the work done.
