Software Testing & Quality Assurance

Functional Testing

Verification that every feature behaves exactly as specified, from business rules and calculations to validations and permissions, before your users rely on it.

Overview

Why it matters
for your business.

A feature can look finished yet calculate GST wrongly, accept an invalid PAN or let a junior user approve their own expense. Functional testing checks behaviour against requirements. We study your user stories, business rules and acceptance criteria, clarify gaps with your product owner, and design tests covering positive paths, negative inputs and boundary values.

Testing then runs feature by feature, manually or automated depending on stability. We trace each requirement to its tests, so you can see which rules are verified and which are not. Ambiguities in specifications are raised early, because unclear requirements cause many defects long before any code is written.

FAQ

Common
questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

What if our requirements are not fully documented?

That is common. We review whatever exists, such as user stories, screens or emails, run short walkthroughs with your product owner and document assumptions. Those assumptions are confirmed before testing so defects are measured against agreed expectations.

How does functional testing differ from end-to-end testing?

Functional testing verifies individual features and rules in depth. End-to-end testing follows complete business journeys across several features and systems, such as signup to payment to invoice. Both are useful and complement each other.
