API Development & Systems Integration

Middleware & Integration Services

A central integration layer, using an iPaaS, message broker or enterprise service bus, that connects many applications cleanly instead of through fragile point-to-point links.

Overview

Why it matters
for your business.

Once you have more than a handful of connected systems, direct point-to-point integrations become a tangle. Each new application needs links to several others, failures cascade and nobody has a full picture of how data moves. We design and implement middleware that centralises integration, so systems publish and consume data through a managed layer with shared monitoring, security and error handling.

We assess your integration landscape and choose a fitting approach: an integration platform such as MuleSoft, Boomi or Azure Integration Services, an open-source stack like Apache Camel with Kafka, or lightweight workflow tools for smaller estates. Common data models, reusable connectors and a central catalogue reduce duplication. Operations staff get one console to monitor flows, retry failures and trace individual transactions end to end.

Outcomes

What changes
for your business.

Ideal for

  • Enterprises with many point-to-point integrations
  • Groups merging systems after acquisitions
  • Organisations standardising on an integration platform

Simpler architecture

New systems connect once to the middleware rather than individually to every other application.

Contained failures

Queues and retries stop one failing system from bringing down related processes across the business.

Full visibility

Operations teams can trace any transaction across systems from a single monitoring console.

How we deliver

A clear, accountable
process.

Every engagement follows the same disciplined approach, adapted to the size and urgency of your project.

  1. 01

    Discover

We map your workflows, users and integrations, then agree scope, priorities and milestones.

  2. 02

    Design

User flows, interface designs and architecture are reviewed with you before development starts.

  3. 03

    Build

Short sprints with working demos, code reviews and testing, so you see progress every step.

  4. 04

    Launch & support

We deploy, train your team, hand over documentation and stay on for support and enhancements.

FAQ

Common
questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

Do we need a commercial integration platform?

Not necessarily. Commercial platforms offer ready connectors and support but carry licence costs. Open-source stacks can be cost-effective for teams with engineering capacity, and smaller organisations may only need a workflow tool. We compare options against your volume, skills and budget before recommending one.

Do we have to move all integrations at once?

No. We usually migrate the most fragile or valuable integrations first, prove the middleware in production, then move the rest in planned phases. Existing point-to-point links keep running until their replacement is tested, so operations are not disrupted.
