Software Testing & Quality Assurance

Cross-Browser Compatibility Testing

Verification that your website or web app looks and works consistently across browsers, versions, operating systems and screen sizes your audience actually uses.

Overview

Why it matters
for your business.

A layout that looks perfect in Chrome on your developer’s laptop may break in Safari on an iPhone, or behave oddly in an older Edge build still used in corporate offices. Browser engines differ in CSS support, date pickers, autofill and media handling. We identify these differences before your users find them.

Coverage starts with your analytics: which browsers, versions, operating systems and resolutions matter. We then run key journeys across that matrix using cloud device platforms, combining automated visual comparison with manual checks for interaction quirks. Issues are reported with browser-specific screenshots and, where obvious, the CSS or JavaScript feature responsible.

FAQ

Common
questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

Do we need to support old browsers like Internet Explorer?

Microsoft has retired Internet Explorer, so most sites no longer support it. We look at your actual traffic and contractual obligations. If a corporate client still mandates a legacy browser, we test it specifically and advise on the cost of continuing support.

Is automated visual testing enough on its own?

It is useful for catching layout shifts at scale, but it cannot judge whether interactions feel right. We combine automated screenshot comparison with manual checks of dropdowns, date pickers, uploads and animations, where browser behaviour most often differs.
