Should we build custom software or customise an existing product?
It depends on how distinctive your processes are. During discovery we compare packaged options, low-code platforms and a custom build against your requirements, integration needs and long-term cost of ownership. If an existing product covers most of what you need, we will say so and help you configure it rather than build from scratch.
Who owns the source code once the project is delivered?
You do. Source code, database schemas, infrastructure scripts and documentation are handed over in your own repositories and cloud accounts. We can continue under a support agreement, but nothing in the engagement ties you to us, and your in-house developers or another vendor can take over the codebase.
