Playwright-Based Automation

Modern end-to-end and component testing with Microsoft Playwright, offering auto-waiting, cross-engine coverage and rich debugging traces for fast, reliable automation of web applications.

Overview

Why it matters
for your business.

Playwright has become a popular choice for teams building modern web applications. Its auto-waiting reduces timing flakiness, one API drives Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, and its trace viewer records every step for debugging. We set up Playwright projects in TypeScript, Python, Java or .NET to suit your developers.

We make full use of its strengths: reusable authentication state, network interception to mock slow or third-party services, API testing alongside UI tests, visual comparisons and sharded parallel runs in CI. Tests are organised with fixtures and page objects, so the suite stays readable and maintainable as your product grows.

  • UI and API tests using fixtures and page objects
  • Reusable authentication and storage state

Outcomes

What changes
for your business.

Ideal for

  • React, Angular and Vue application teams
  • Startups beginning UI automation
  • Teams migrating from Cypress or Selenium

Quicker debugging

Recorded traces show the DOM, network and console at each step, speeding up failure investigation.

Cross-engine confidence

Tests run against Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, covering behaviour close to Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

Less timing flakiness

Built-in auto-waiting removes many race conditions that plague older browser automation approaches.

FAQ

Common
questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

Can Playwright test Safari?

Playwright runs tests on WebKit, the engine behind Safari, on Windows, Linux and macOS. That covers most Safari behaviour, though not every macOS or iOS-specific quirk. For exact device checks, we supplement with real Safari testing on cloud device platforms.

How hard is migrating our Cypress or Selenium tests?

Concepts transfer well, but code must be rewritten. We usually migrate the highest-value journeys first, run both suites in parallel briefly, then retire the old one. Migration effort depends on suite size and how test logic is structured.
