VMware vCenter Configuration & Management
Deployment, upgrade and ongoing management of VMware vCenter Server, including roles, certificates, backups, alarms and integrations, giving you reliable central control of your vSphere estate.
Overview
Why it matters
for your business.
vCenter Server is the control centre of a vSphere environment. When it is misconfigured, out of date or unbacked-up, cluster features stop working, integrations fail and recovering from an outage becomes much harder. Expired certificates and over-privileged accounts are frequent problems. We look after vCenter so it remains secure, current and dependable.
We deploy or upgrade the vCenter Server Appliance, configure datacentres, clusters, folders and tags, and integrate with Active Directory or identity federation for role-based access. File-based backups are scheduled and tested. Certificates, alarms, email notifications and syslog forwarding are configured, and integrations with backup, monitoring and storage plug-ins are verified after every upgrade.

FAQ
Common
questions.
Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.
What happens to our virtual machines if vCenter goes down?
Running virtual machines continue on their ESXi hosts, and vSphere HA still restarts VMs after host failures. However, you lose central management, DRS, many backup jobs and new deployments until vCenter returns, which is why tested backups matter.
Can you upgrade vCenter without downtime for our workloads?
Yes. vCenter upgrades affect management only, not running virtual machines. We check compatibility with hosts and plug-ins, take backups and snapshots first and schedule the work in a maintenance window so administrators know when the console will be briefly unavailable.
