MinIO Storage Implementation

Deploying MinIO as high-performance, S3-compatible object storage on your own servers or Kubernetes, with erasure coding, encryption, replication and monitoring configured for production use.

Overview

Why it matters
for your business.

MinIO lets you run S3-compatible object storage on hardware you control, which suits teams that need data to stay on-premise or within India, want predictable costs or are building private cloud and AI data platforms. It is straightforward to start but needs careful design for production: drive layout, erasure coding, networking, TLS and identity all matter.

We size servers and drives for your capacity and throughput, then deploy MinIO in distributed mode on bare metal, VMs or Kubernetes using the operator. Erasure coding sets, TLS, encryption with a key management service and identity integration via LDAP or OpenID Connect are configured. Site replication, bucket policies, object lock and Prometheus monitoring complete a production-ready deployment.

Outcomes

What changes
for your business.

Ideal for

  • Organisations needing on-premise S3 storage
  • AI and analytics teams with large data sets
  • Backup teams wanting immutable local targets

Data under your control

Object data stays on your own infrastructure, supporting residency requirements and predictable storage costs.

Resilient object storage

Erasure coding and replication allow the cluster to tolerate drive or node failures without data loss.

Drop-in S3 compatibility

Applications and backup tools written for Amazon S3 can use MinIO with minimal configuration changes.

How we deliver

A clear, accountable
process.

Every engagement follows the same disciplined approach, adapted to the size and urgency of your project.

FAQ

Common
questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

How many servers do we need for MinIO?

For production resilience, distributed MinIO typically starts with four or more servers, each with multiple drives, so erasure coding can survive failures. Single-node setups work for testing or small, non-critical use. We size based on capacity, throughput and failure tolerance you need.

What licence applies to MinIO?

MinIO's community edition is released under the GNU AGPL v3, and MinIO also offers commercial subscriptions with support. We explain what the licence means for your use case so your legal or procurement team can decide which option is appropriate.
