Cloud Infrastructure Architecture

Detailed design of cloud environments, including networks, identity, compute, data and resilience patterns, producing a blueprint your engineers can build and audit against.

Overview

Why it matters
for your business.

Before a large build or migration, you need a blueprint. Which VPC or VNet layout, how many availability zones, how traffic enters and leaves, where secrets live, how environments are isolated and how disaster recovery works. Cloud infrastructure architecture answers these questions in a design document that engineers, security teams and auditors can all work from.

Our architects gather non-functional requirements first, such as availability targets, recovery objectives, compliance needs and expected growth. We then design networking, identity, compute, storage, data and observability layers, with diagrams and decision records explaining the choices. Designs are validated against provider reference architectures and reviewed with your team before any infrastructure is built.

What's included

  • Non-functional requirements and design principles
  • High-level and low-level architecture diagrams
  • Network topology and IP addressing plan
  • Identity, access and secrets management design
  • High availability and disaster recovery design
  • Architecture decision records and review sign-off

Outcomes

What changes
for your business.

Ideal for

  • Enterprises planning large cloud builds
  • Fintech and healthtech firms under regulation
  • SaaS companies scaling to multiple regions

Build-ready blueprint

Engineers work from a clear, agreed design instead of making inconsistent decisions during implementation.

Resilience by design

Availability and recovery requirements are designed in from the start rather than added after an outage.

Audit-friendly documentation

Security teams and auditors can trace controls and data flows directly from the architecture documents.

How we deliver

A clear, accountable
process.

Every engagement follows the same disciplined approach, adapted to the size and urgency of your project.

  1. 01

    Assess

We review your current systems, costs, risks and constraints, and agree what success looks like.

  2. 02

    Design

You get a target architecture and a phased roadmap with clear effort, risks and dependencies.

  3. 03

    Implement

We build, configure or migrate with change control, testing and minimal disruption.

  4. 04

    Operate & optimise

Monitoring, documentation and regular reviews keep performance, security and costs on track.

FAQ

Common
questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

How is architecture different from cloud infrastructure consulting?

Consulting reviews what you already run and recommends improvements. Architecture produces a detailed design for something new or significantly changing, down to network ranges and failover patterns. Many clients commission architecture after a consulting review identifies the need for a redesign.

Can the design cover more than one cloud provider?

Yes. Multi-cloud and hybrid designs are common, for example running core systems on Azure while analytics sits on Google Cloud. We design connectivity, identity federation and monitoring so the environments work together and are managed consistently.
