Selenium-Based Automation

Browser test automation built on Selenium WebDriver, ideal when you need broad browser support, mature Java or Python ecosystems, or continuity with existing Selenium investments.

Overview

Why it matters
for your business.

Selenium remains widely used for good reasons: it follows the W3C WebDriver standard, supports many languages and works across major browsers. Many organisations already have Selenium suites and skilled engineers. We build new Selenium automation or rescue existing suites that have become slow and flaky.

Stability is the focus. We replace fixed sleeps with explicit waits, use resilient locators, apply the page object model and isolate tests from shared state. Selenium Grid or cloud providers run tests in parallel across browsers. Upgrading to Selenium 4 features, such as relative locators and Chrome DevTools Protocol access, is included where useful.

What's included

  • Selenium WebDriver test suite using page objects
  • Explicit wait and locator strategy
  • Selenium Grid or cloud parallel execution
  • Flaky test analysis and stabilisation
  • Selenium 4 upgrade of legacy suites
  • Execution reports integrated with CI

Outcomes

What changes
for your business.

Ideal for

  • Teams with existing Selenium test suites
  • Java or Python QA engineering teams
  • Enterprises needing wide browser coverage

More stable runs

Better waits and locators reduce false failures that cause teams to ignore test results.

Parallel execution

Grid-based runs shorten suite duration so feedback reaches developers sooner.

Protected investment

Existing Selenium suites are modernised rather than discarded, preserving years of test knowledge.

How we deliver

A clear, accountable
process.

Every engagement follows the same disciplined approach, adapted to the size and urgency of your project.

  1. 01

    Assess

We understand your data sources, applications or risks and agree priorities and scope.

  2. 02

    Plan

A clear approach covering tools, coverage, controls and responsibilities is agreed with you.

  3. 03

    Implement

We build the pipelines, dashboards, test suites or security controls and verify they work.

FAQ

Common
questions.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

Should we move from Selenium to Playwright?

Not automatically. If your Selenium suite is stable and your team is productive, migration may not be worthwhile. Playwright can suit new projects needing faster, more reliable modern web testing. We assess suite health, skills and goals before recommending either path.

Why are our Selenium tests so flaky?

Common causes include fixed sleeps, brittle XPath locators, shared test data, dependency between tests and unstable environments. We analyse failure patterns from recent runs, fix root causes and add retry diagnostics carefully, without hiding genuine defects.
