When is HCI not a good fit?
HCI can be less efficient when storage needs grow much faster than compute, or for very large databases needing dedicated high-performance arrays. Licensing per node or core can also add up. We highlight these cases so you can consider disaggregated or traditional designs instead.
Can we reuse our existing servers for HCI?
Sometimes. Software-defined options like vSAN or Azure Local can run on certified existing hardware if it meets compatibility lists. Appliance-based platforms usually need new nodes. We check your hardware against vendor lists during the assessment.
