Network-Attached Storage (NAS) Solutions
Designing and setting up NAS systems for shared files, departmental data and backup targets, with sensible folder structures, permissions, snapshots and remote access for your teams.
Overview
Why it matters
for your business.
Shared folders scattered across desktops, external hard drives and personal cloud accounts make files hard to find and easy to lose. A properly configured NAS gives your office or branch a central, protected place for documents, drawings, media and backups, at a cost that suits smaller organisations as well as larger departments.
We help you choose a NAS model and disk configuration for your capacity and performance needs. Folder structures are designed around teams and projects, with permissions linked to Active Directory or local users. Snapshots protect against accidental deletion and ransomware, and the NAS is backed up to another device or cloud. Secure remote access avoids exposing it directly to the internet.

for your business.
Ideal for
- Small offices relying on external drives

One place for files
Teams store and find shared documents in an organised central location instead of scattered devices.
Recoverable mistakes
Snapshots let users or IT restore deleted or overwritten files quickly without full restores.
Safer remote access
Staff reach files from outside the office through secure methods, not exposed NAS login pages.

FAQ
Common
questions.
Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.
Is a NAS enough as our only backup?
No. A NAS is excellent primary storage and a useful backup target, but if it fails, is stolen or is hit by ransomware, you need another copy. We follow the 3-2-1 approach, keeping at least one copy off-site or in the cloud.
Should we use a NAS or Microsoft 365 and Google Drive?
Cloud drives suit documents and collaboration, while a NAS handles large files, local speed and backup needs better. Many offices use both: cloud for everyday documents, NAS for CAD, video, archives and backups. We help you decide what belongs where.
